2025 Tour du Mont Blanc – Half-Circuit Starry Sky Experience
Designed for nature lovers with limited vacation time, this 4-day, 4-night trek offers the most iconic highlights of the Tour du Mont Blanc. Journeying deep into the alpine wilderness of France, Switzerland, and Italy, you’ll cross glacier valleys, high pastures, and starlit ridgelines by day, and camp under the stars by night. Enjoy self-cooked meals and reconnect with the essence of outdoor living. No long holidays or heavy gear needed—just one backpack is enough for this pure, alpine micro-adventure.
Day 1: Chamonix – Lac Blanc – Le Tour
Morning
Meet at 9:30 AM at the Flégère cable car station in Chamonix. Your certified French mountain guide will explain the itinerary and safety procedures before taking the cable car up to the panoramic platform at ~2,300 m, where your TMB trek officially begins.The first leg leads to the famous Lac Blanc, known as the “postcard view” of the Alps. Along the way, enjoy spectacular vistas of Mont Blanc and surrounding glaciers like the Bergson Glacier.
Descending via the Col des Montets and the Aiguilles Rouges Nature Reserve, you’ll pass through the local visitor center and continue on to the picturesque villages of Montroc and Le Tour.

Day 2: Le Tour – Trient
After breakfast, take public transport to the trailhead in Le Tour village. Begin your hike via the classic Posettes trail, gradually ascending to the Col de Balme (~2,200 m), which marks the border between France and Switzerland.
This scenic section offers wide-angle views of the Mont Blanc massif, including the Tour and Argentière Glaciers. Once across the pass, enter the Swiss side, descending through open meadows with a distinct landscape.
Camp overnight in the quiet valley near Trient or its surroundings.

Day 3: Col Ferret – Val Ferret (Italy) – Courmayeur Camp
Today features one of the most iconic high-altitude sections of the trail—climbing to Col Ferret (2,537 m), the border between Switzerland and Italy.
Along the way, pass through the alpine pasture of La Peule, soaking in the rustic charm of mountain life. At the summit, admire the dramatic contrast between the Mont Blanc glacier walls on one side and the sweeping Val Ferret on the other.
Descending into Italy, follow the valley path toward the foot of the Pré de Bar Glacier for stunning views of glacial formations and rock walls. By evening, reach the Courmayeur campsite for a magical starlit night in the Italian Alps.

Day 4: Mont de la Saxe – Courmayeur
Starting from the Arminaz pasture, you’ll hike along the Mont de la Saxe ridge—one of the most breathtaking segments of the trail, featuring panoramic views of Mont Blanc, Mont Dolent, Aiguille Triolet, and the Grandes Jorasses.
Depending on your pace and preference, choose between a standard or more demanding route. The descent will take you through the Col Sapin and the dramatic ridgelines of Mont de la Saxe. Return to Courmayeur campsite for a final night of rest.

Notes:
- Itinerary may be adjusted due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
- It is recommended to arrive in Chamonix the night before. If needed, we can help arrange guesthouse lodging for an additional €50 (subject to availability).
- Altitude Trekker provides luggage storage at the starting point in Chamonix. After the hike, you can return from Courmayeur via the Mont Blanc Tunnel to collect your stored luggage.
- All essential camping gear (tents, cooking utensils, etc.) is provided. Please bring your own sleeping bag.
